Job Performance and Difficulty of Elementary School Health Teachers

Abstract
Purpose: To explore elementary school health teachers' job performance, weight and difficulty perception and uncover their job perception and problems, and propose them to enhance their specialization.

Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted to 58 elementary school health teachers in D city and 89 elementary school health teachers in G province. Health teachers' job areas were composed of 8, and their job contents of 42 in reference with the enforcement ordinance of the School Health Act and the annual school health plan, and job performance and weight and difficulty were explored to them.

Results: The job of health teachers' highest performance was indicated to be health education, that of the lowest on was to be environmental sanitary management, and that of the most weight was indicated to be school health undertaking and that of the lowest was indicated to be environmental sanitary management. Job performance, weight and difficulty by job sub-areas considered, the job showing the highest level in job performance, weight and difficulty was indicated to be emergency treatment.

Conclusion: The job showing the highest level in job performance, weight and difficulty in health education was indicated to be anti-sex violence education. Based on this research, health teachers' troubles would be relieved and their specialization be improved if elementary school health teachers' variables and job perception is properly considered, suitable training is provided fit for a characteristic, and administrative and financial support is provided.
